Legal Residence of the Plaintiffs and the Defendants,
All Years
Insiders, legal residents of
the township where the case was heard, constituted the majority of both the
plaintiffs (77.4 %) and the defendants (73.7%). However, there is a significant
correlation between the residency status of the plaintiffs and the defendants.
Insider plaintiffs were much more likely to sue other insiders (85% of their
defendants were from the same township) than outsiders were (only 32% of
defendants were insiders when the plaintiff was an outsider).
